Invincible house is built upon 2 very important principles, respect and family. We aspire to be one large family sharing in positive values and morals celebrating each others individuality and successes. We are a community built upon respect; of who we are, of one another and our surroundings.

We aim to provide a fun, happy, friendly, and civilized and well- disciplined safe environment in which students can contribute positively and realize their full potential. Students are encouraged to develop personal qualities that will equip them for their future careers and roles within the wider community and life after Nunthorpe School.

Form Tutors

With over 1300 students in our school, it is very important that every child is well known and has someone who can support them, guide them and turn to if in difficulty or doubt.

Form Tutors are the first point of call for all matters to do with pupils. These are the people who know members of their form well and who will hear from other staff about progress, successes and concerns.

When pupils enter the school they are put in forms under the guidance of a form tutor. This tutor meets the class at least once a day for 20 minutes. He or she often stays with that same group of pupils for a number of years and may accompany the children throughout their entire time here.

Monitoring (Pastoral and Academic)

In forms, time is set aside for one to one and group discussions about targets and progress. At least once during every term, targets are agreed and recorded. These are reviewed at the end of each term and progress is noted.
