The traditional way to learn Ashtanga Yoga. This is a self practice class suitable for those committed to learning the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. In term one you will be led and taught the standing and finishing poses in the sequence. In term two you will be confident to start the self practice and will be given seated and middle poses to learn progressively. The self practice session allows the student to work and progress at their own pace whilst receiving individual physical adjustments and personal attention from the teacher. It would be expected that the student would practice at home and ideally attend one of the other Ashtanga Yoga classes to truly benefit from this method of learning (ideally you would book onto both Mysore style classes). These classes are suitable for beginners to advanced students looking for a strong physical practice that leads to a quiet focused mind.
