If a student is unsuccessful at getting into the universities he/she has chosen the student will be put forward into the Clearing process. This is where universities advertise the courses they still have places for. They advertise in the national press but also on UCAS. If you follow the link below you will find advice on how to use the Clearing Process, as well as how to accept a university offer. Click here for further information from UCAS. Sixth Form staff will be on hand on results day to support any students in this position.

We strongly advise all students to ensure they are not on holiday for results, especially for A2 results as they will need to respond to university offers/declines.
However, if it is unavoidable a student should phone us at the Sixth Form on 01642 304550. Alternatively if the student wants to leave his/her mobile number we can text through results if we are given advanced warning. The important thing is to ensure the Yr 13 student has access to the internet on the day of the results. The universities actually receive the results a week before us, and UCAS will send emails to students regarding the confirmation of places that morning.
Students will have to reply to confirm they are taking up a place.
