The PVG’s aims are to:
- Care for the school and all those who work in it;
- Fund raise for the school;
- Organise social events to bring children, young people, adults and the local communities together;
- Provide support for school trips and outings and other special events;
- Be a voice within the school – creating a partnership between the school and parents; and
- Contribute to the wider community which the school serves.
The PVG is a great way for parents / carers and school staff to become directly involved with the school, through volunteering time and talents.

- Race Night on the 27th June 2009 at The Squash/Cricket Club, Guisborough Road raised £482.39;
- Bag Pack at Tesco Coulby Newham on the 5th December 2009 raised £538.50;
- Raffle/refreshments at the Christmas Carol Concert at the Methodist Church on the 10th December 2009 raised £106.68;
- Gazette wish tokens appeal raised £23.07;
- Bag 2 School collection 12th February 2010 raised £56.00;
- School Production “Little Shop of Horrors” 17th – 19th March 2010 raised £211.00;
- Street Dance Event 25th and 26th March 2010 raised £45.80; and
- NCPTA Workshop held at Nunthorpe School – £50.00 donation received from NCPTA.

This is an opportunity for all parents to come along and hear in more detail about the PVG, its membership and aims and objectives. It is also the occasion when the PVG Committee will be elected.
