Nunthorpe's new mentoring scheme

What is Here2Help

Here2Help is a online mentoring scheme aimed at providing advice and help to those who are unable to access it during school time. Think Nunthorpe’s own agony aunt!

How will it work?

Weekly email responses between students and mentors.

We will NOT tolerate ANY abusive or derogatory emails. They will be ignored and mentor attention will be focused on those genuinely seeking advice.

Any forms of bullying viewed on the site will be dealt with immediately.

REMEMBER: No problem is too small, we will regard all issues equally.

How do I use ‘Here2Help’?

Email the mentors using the email address provided: nunmentors@nunthorpe.co.uk

Example Questions & Responses

Are you:
Shy around others?
Afraid to try new tasks?
Overwhelmed by school life?
Positive about the future?

Do you:
Worry that things will not work out?
Compare yourself to others and feel inadequate?
Would you like to be someone else?
Doubt that you can achieve anything?
Lose your temper easily?
Constantly argue about unimportant things?
Think that you are impatient?

If you can answer “yes” to any of these questions you could be experiencing low self-esteem. Please direct your concerns to our Here2Help mentors and we will try to help you with your individual problems.
