French Theatre Company visit to Nunthorpe.

Dear Parent / Carer

The Modern Foreign Languages Department is inviting Year 8 students to see the French performance ‘Bienvenue à Paris’ presented by the London Production Company. This will take place on Tuesday 12 October 2010 during their normal language lesson. This will be a valuable educational experience, allowing students to gain first-hand experience of French life and culture, as well as experiencing the French language in a fun and entertaining way.

The show exposes students to ‘live’ language situations as they would experience on a visit to Paris. The storyline is easy to follow thus allowing students of all abilities to enjoy the show. There is audience participation, films, lighting and sound. It is written to be an enjoyable yet informative production. The show lasts 1 hour and costs just £3.00 per student.

If you would like your child to see the show, please complete the attached reply slip and return it to the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty no later than Friday 24 September 2010. Please enclose the £3.00 ticket price in a standard payment envelope, ensuring your child’s name, tutor group and teaching class is clearly marked and French Theatre Company is written on the front of the envelope.

Should you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact me on jwhelan@nunthorpe.co.uk

Yours sincerely

Julie Whelan
