Every year the Performing Arts department runs a weekend visit to London to take in the sights and experience the buzz of London’s West End.

This popular visit has been expanded in recent years to be a collective Drama and Music experience where both the GCSE Drama and Music students and those studying BTEC Performing Arts in Year 10 come together for a weekend of culture in the capital city.

The action packed weekend includes:

  • A Theatre ticket to the critically acclaimed “The Woman In Black” OR “War Horse”;
  • A night at watching the internationally renowned musical “Stomp!”;
  • Visiting The Natural History Museum;
  • A backstage tour of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre;
  • Taking in the sights of Westminster, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden;
  • Experiencing and trying world foods in Borough Market.

In November 2010, our students received praise and glowing feedback from the Premier Inn staff and the tour guide at The Globe Theatre. Both of whom were amazed at the maturity, outstanding behaviour and excellent manners of our Year 10 students!

Here’s to a successful 2011 visit!
