Dear Parent/Carer,

As part of Nunthorpe’s continuing commitment to excellence, the SPORT Faculty would like to inform you of an exciting opportunity for your child to attend a RBS 6 Nations match at Twickenham.

As your child has been identified as Gifted & Talented in SPORT, and/or has represented our school in Rugby, and is progressing well in all of their SPORT lessons, we would like to offer them a place on the visit to watch England Vs Italy. The visit will take place on Saturday 12 February, leaving school at 8:00 am and returning at approximately 10:00 pm.

The cost of the visit is £55, which includes transport to and from Twickenham and entry fee into the ground.

This is an entirely social visit and if you unwilling to contribute to this then the school will be unable to subsidise this visit and a place will not be offered to your child. If you would like to contribute but are unable to do so at present, please discuss this with me in confidence.

The School Charging Policy lays down the terms and conditions of refunds (see School Policies : Our School – Nunthorpe School).

The yellow consent and emergency consent can be acquired from and returned to me (mcurtis@nunthorpe.co.uk), the payment should be placed in an envelope and placed in the black payment box outside the Main School Office. 119 students have received this letter and only 52 places are available; therefore, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Nunthorpe School Fund.’ Since this is an out-of-school hours activity, school uniform does not have to be worn.

Yours sincerely

Mark Curtis
