"Learning to Create a Better Future Today"
This page contains information about School Uniform Requirements.
Important Update - as a result of the
extensive research done, the Jacket, Skirt, Jumper, Tie and Trousers are
only available from Ross's Uniform shop as they offer both reasonable prices
and good quality clothing as well as clothing to the design specification we
are looking for as a school, and must be bought from there.
Uniform Requirements
As a result of consultation with parents, students, staff and manufacturers,
we have now decided upon our definitive School Uniform.
The uniform has been selected with a number of factors in mind.
Quality - the business jacket is a high quality, washable
garment. It has the added feature of a variety of pockets that will present
their usefulness to students within a few hours of wearing - not least of
which is the mobile phone pocket!
Modesty - the trousers are prescribed for both boys and girls in
order that we can remove the variety in "fashion" especially amongst the
ladies. Students are expected to have trousers that can facilitate a shirt
tucking into them and a shirt that is not fitted, has a top button and tucks
into the trousers.
Image - it is important to us that not only are our students
friendly, polite, pleasant young adults, but that they are also perceived
as such in the community. We believe that the image of a school and its
students can be strongly enhanced by the uniform they wear.
We are confident that parents will support us in these changes. This is the
final and definitive school uniform and therefore, investments made now will
last through until students either grow out of them or leave the school. Students
currently in Year 10 will not be expected to change to this uniform but will be
expected to comply with current uniform standards i.e. those detailed in our School Planner - page 25.
Orders can be made from now with Ross's through their online service at Ross's LTD, (http://www.rosssltd.co.uk/) or by their email facility sales@rosssltd.co.uk, by phone or fax on 01642 246150, or by dropping in at the shop at 45 Borough Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 4AF.
Orders have an additional charge for direct delivery from Ross's store to your home.
Payments for all new uniform can be arranged with Mr Ross and can be spread over the time between
now and the start of the new academic year in September 2007.
If sizes are unknown for students, they can pop and see me as I have a range of jackets for them to try, or alternatively, they can try all of the uniform on in the shop.
