Nunthorpe School - Guisborough Road, Middlesbrough.
Year 6 students enjoyed their Induction Days at Nunthorpe recently.
Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th July were the Science, Business & Enterprise
Days, where students sampled lessons in Science, Business Enterprise, ICT
and Maths. Older students were on hand to help, show students around and in
some cases teach the lessons!
Thursday 12th July was the Main Induction Day, where Year 6 students got to
find out which 'House' they were in, and meet their tutor and tutees from
other year groups. Students also went to a range of sample lessons in
different subjects, all based around the theme of 'Galileo'.
The Induction Evening, later in the day, was a chance for each parent to
hear from our headteacher Debbie Clinton, before meeting their child's Head
of House and Tutor, in our new 'Vertical Tutoring' Pastoral System.
Photographs of the days are available here in the Gallery.
The Science Days were coordinated by Mrs Sullivan - (twilliams@nunthorpe.co.uk)
