NUNTHORPE YOUTH & COMMUNITY CENTRE

Nunthorpe Youth and Community Centre is a free standing, purpose built centre, part of Nunthorpe School.

The centre offers a wide range of activities, available to children, young people, their families and the wider community. Activities include the following:

Junior Youth Club (8 - 12 years)
Senior Youth Club (13 - 19 years)
Duke of Edinburgh Award - Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels (14 + years)
Acrobatics
Football
Embroidery
Nunthorpe Ladies Group
Yoga

The centre also offers the use of its facilities for hire (please see hiring school facilities).

Nunthorpe Youth Club

The aim of Nunthorpe Youth Club (part of Redcar and Cleveland Youth and Community Service) is to ensure access for young people aged 13 - 19 years, to the opportunities they need to succeed as individuals in the wider community.

It will:

Promote citizenship and support young people in developing their civic contribution;

Secure a range of leisure and cultural activities and experiences for young people in partnership with other providers in those areas;

Raise standards of achievement by offering appropriately challenging activity and experiences.

And will aim to:

Provide a curriculum and programme of activities for which achievements can be accredited;

Support access to specialist services;

Contribute youth and community work staff to multi-agency teams which promote social inclusion;

Provide information, guidance and support;

Provide the inclusion of young people in vulnerable minority groups where they are at risk of social exclusion or are already socially excluded.
