Sixth Form continues to achieve amazing results!

Once again our students should be proud of the wonderful set of Post-16 results they have achieved this year. Key targets have been achieved and our provisional progress measure of +0.22 is significantly above the national average.

The Average Point Score per A Level subject entry is a very strong 36.8 points, our second highest ever!

Our Year 13 students achieved an overall pass rate of 99.7%, of which:

  • 32% – A*- A;
  • 67% – A*- B;
  • 97% – A*- C.

Student performance in remodeled Level 3 vocational subjects was again exceptional with a 100% pass rate and 56% at Distinction or Distinction*.

There were some fantastic individual A Level subject results too with Government & Politics, History, Philosophy & Ethics, Physical Education and Art performing particularly well. This tremendous record is further enhanced by the spectacular individual achievements of so many of our Sixth Form students; 14 of whom achieved 3 or more A*- A grades.

We are delighted that these results represent a continuation of our excellent Sixth Form outcomes and are the culmination of extremely hard work and dedication from our students and staff.

The vast majority of our students will be moving on to their first choice Universities in September; all of the staff and Governors at Nunthorpe Academy wish them well in the next stage of their education.
