Space2Earth Challenge

We were delighted to have the British Triathlon Association organising an event at Nunthorpe Academy on Monday 13th March. Students undertaking PE lessons undertook a challenge based lesson. Students were encouraged to undertake 2 minutes cycling, 2 minutes running and 2 minutes rest throughout their PE lesson to complete as many kilometres as possible in the time permitted.

Each student contributed to the classes’ total of kilometres which was added to all the other groups in PE that day. This then produced a Nunthorpe Grand Total. We managed to complete 1,695km which covered the distance from Earth to the International Space Station where Tim Peake was based.
