The Academy
- Nunthorpe is a very popular Foundation co-educational 11 – 19 comprehensive academy with approximately 1600 students on roll;
- We are on the southern edge of the Teesside conurbation in a comfortable residential area close to the North Yorkshire Moors. We are within driving distance of Durham, York and Newcastle;
- As of the first of September 2014 Nunthorpe Academy officially started work as the lead Teaching School in the North East Schools Teaching Alliance. This new school led system of self improvement focuses on six key areas, (the Big 6), which include the development of School to School Support; Professional Development; Specialist Leaders of Education; Initial Teacher Training; Succession Planning and Research & Development;
