On Tuesday afternoon our KS5 students joined a number of other schools from across the country and the continent in an online lecture; via the University of Bristol, looking at the continued changes in our water and carbon cycles, and in turn how this may affect the tropical storms and storm surges that we face in the future.
The session talked about the recent hurricane that devastated Jamaica and Cuba as well as getting students to think about the response and preparation of the Governments when dealing with such hazards. All of these concepts are covered in our 2 year course.
