Nunthorpe Academy KS4 Examination Results – Summer 2022

Students and staff at Nunthorpe Academy are once again celebrating GCSE results today!

The results achieved by our young people today are testament to the commitment, dedication and perseverance of staff, parents/carers and of course, most importantly, the students themselves. GCSE examinations have been more challenging than ever before with the disruption experienced to learning over the couple of years and yet the students at Nunthorpe have produced some fantastic results, our headline figures show that:

  • 75% of our students passed English and Maths
  • In English, 91% achieved a pass with 83% securing a ‘strong pass’
  • In Maths, 76% achieved a pass with 56% securing a ‘strong pass’
  • Average Attainment 8 Score – 5.3 (formally average grade B)

We are very pleased with the performance of our students across a range of other subjects including; English Language and Literature, Geography, PE, Philosophy and Ethics, Spanish and all of our vocational programmes.

These results are further enhanced by the spectacular individual achievements of some of our Year 11 students. Congratulations go to Aoife Baines who achieved a fantastic set of results with grade 9 in all entries; Linh Tran, William Hales, Ella Scott, Owen Harrison, Ali Mousavi, Libby Gordon, Lawrence Green Isabelle Hall, Rhys Edwards, and Matthew Lawrence who achieved grades 8 and 9 across all entries!

All of the staff and Governors at Nunthorpe Academy and NMAT Trustees wish them well in the next stage of their education, training or employment and we look forward to a significant number of them continuing their studies with us at our ‘Outstanding’ Sixth Form where enrolment began this morning. We wish all of our students every success.
