Teacher Training Vacancies

The North East Schools Teaching Alliance is now recruiting trainee teachers in both the Primary and Secondary sectors to start in September 2020.

Primary trainees will train in one of the alliance Primary partner schools which include Nunthorpe Primary Academy, Normanby Primary, Ormesby Primary, Skelton Primary, Zetland Primary, Riverdale Primary, Chandlers Ridge Primary and Overfields Primary School. Secondary trainees will do their main training at Nunthorpe Academy or Rye Hills Academy – placements are available in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, History, MFL, Design & Technology, and Art. All training will be done in partnership with Northumbria University and successful trainees will gain a PGCE qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Applicants need the appropriate qualifications, including a degree, preferably at a 2:1 or better. Bursaries of up to £26k are available, depending on degree level and the subject to be taught. Applications must be made via the UCAS website which is open now. Visits and / or work experience are available for potential applicants.

The Train to Teach Roadshow is currently underway and the Middlesbrough event will take place in March 2019.
