Nunthorpe’s third set of A2 Examination Results – Summer 2012

Our students and staff are busy, today, celebrating another great set of A Level results in Nunthorpe Sixth Form – our third ever!

The average points score per subject entry is a very strong 215.55 points, an increase of 8.21 points on our 2011 results. Female points per student increased to 836.21 points from 669 points from 2011. Our A Level students achieved an A*-E pass rate of 100%; an A*-A pass rate of 26.4%; and an A*-B pass rate of 51.4%. In 2011, the national A*-E pass rate was 97.8% – we thus predict that we will be way above the national average when the 2012 A Level performance data is published later in the coming Autumn Term.

We have set yet another new School Record!

Our students and staff are busy, today, celebrating a superb set of GCSE results. The main performance measure the government uses now for all secondary schools is that of 5x A*-C GCSE grades which must include GCSE English and GCSE Maths. Our results here are 76.5% – a record for our school and a spectacular 21.5% increase since our 2009 GCSE results. In 2011, the national average for this measure was 54.8%; we are thus very pleased indeed.
