Nunthorpe Academy was awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) successfully in 2010 and 2014.
We are now ready to launch our new SchoolHire booking facility and as existing customers of the school you are being given advance notice so that you can ensure that your regular bookings are made from 5 February 2018.

On Wednesday 10 January 2018 your child was issued with their GCSE Art & Design Examination paper. Upon receipt of the paper they enter into an eight week preparation period where they will be asked to produce a variety of work to help them come up with an idea for a final piece.
We would like to ask for your co-operation with a very important matter within our Academy. One of our students is receiving medical treatment which severely affects their immune system, and puts them at risk if they are exposed to Measles, Chickenpox or Shingles.

At Nunthorpe Academy we recognise the importance of supporting every student to ensure that they achieve the GCSEs that they deserve. To this end, Nunthorpe Academy is running a weekly intervention programme where students are able to get the extra support and help they need in order to progress in their subjects.
There are currently two vacancies for Parent Governors on the Local Governing Body of Nunthorpe Academy. Parents or carers of students attending the academy are invited to apply.
Redcar and Cleveland currently do not have a formally recognised parent/carer forum. Redcar and Cleveland Local Authority are therefore working in partnership with Contact a Family to support the development of a new forum and we need your help and support.
We launched our Prom Points Process with the Y11s this week. Students should all have brought home the information and accompanying letter to share with you. As of Monday 10 October 2016 all students wishing to use the Compass Royston Bus Service will need to have a ‘Right to Ride’ ID Card. Students will receive one of these once they have submitted a signed copy of the attached Behaviour Contract to Student Reception. Please read the letter and the contract carefully if you wish your student to continue using this service. Please remember that this service is a joint agreement between parents and the bus company and Nunthorpe Academy are simply facilitating the administration of the cards on their behalf.
ParentPay commissioned research to discover what else parents wanted from ParentPay. They wanted to help families on lower incomes, give more flexibility in how parents pay, and support schools in becoming completely cashless.
