Friday marked the global celebration of 'World Mental Health Day'. As an academy community, thriving together, we invited all staff and students to take part in celebrations by wearing something yellow. Students, and staff, arose to the occasion with students across all years and key stages wearing every shade of yellow imaginable through swapping an item of standard uniform for something personal. We hope that such an act will remind people in our academy and local community that;
💛There is always help and support available to everyone at Nunthorpe.
💛Not to take things by yourself; talking about what makes you nervous or worried is a superpower.
💛Even the smallest acts of kindness can change someone's day, week, month or year.
Continuing to raise awareness of positive mental health, students will explore what they can do to support themselves and their peers whilst at school, with signposts offered to key websites, apps and other avenues of support.
