What an exciting time to be part of Nunthorpe Academy! We now have a group of published authors among us! Eleven Y7 students have been working on a project to write their own books, funded through Let Teachers Shine and supported by Sixth Element Publishing.

Yet again, we have had several students achieving librarian qualifications; six as Student Librarians and four as Advanced Student Librarians.
It has come to the academy's attention that Year 11 students are being signed out for medical appointments. This will not be authorised without evidence of appointments. Year 11 attendance to lessons is crucial during the important exam period.
Nothing stops our young authors learning about marketing their books. After snow and then sports week thwarted our initial attempts, we finally found a free afternoon and pounced at the chance to visit Drake's Book Shop in Stockton.

Last year, Year 7 was treated to an entertaining, hilarious, informative performance by The2Steves. Sadly, one of the two Steves has now retired. We therefore booked TheOneSteve (the remaining Steve) for this year's Year 7s. We had half the duo, paid half the fee and expected half the performance. How wrong we were.
